Kontekstualisasi Makna Fi Sabilillah Sebagai Unsur Penerima Zakat
Abstract
Fi Sabilillah as one element of zakat recipients is quite problematic. The majority of scholars interpret fi sabilillah as jihad fighting in the way of Allah, on the other hand it is difficult to find war in the way of Allah in the modern era. This paper explores the meaning of fi sabilillah with a contextual interpretation approach as offered by Abdullah Saeed. With a contextual approach, it was found that the fisabilillah element can still be given rights as mustahik zakat with the activity criteria that the mission of struggle to uphold Islam does not have to be war.
