Publication Ethics

Publication Ethics Statement

Jurnal MISYKAT is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics, following the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Duties of Editors

  • Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on their intellectual merit, without regard to the authors' race, gender, religion, citizenship, or institutional affiliation.
  • Editors ensure a fair, unbiased, and timely peer review process and maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
  • Editors will not use unpublished materials in a submitted manuscript for their own research without the express written consent of the author.

Duties of Reviewers

  • Reviewers assist the editorial decision-making process through objective, constructive, and timely evaluation of manuscripts.
  • Reviewers must treat manuscripts as confidential documents and disclose any conflict of interest before agreeing to review.
  • Reviewers should point out relevant published work not yet cited by the authors.

Duties of Authors

  • Authors must present an accurate account of the original research performed, along with an objective discussion of its significance.
  • Plagiarism, data fabrication, and falsification in any form constitute unethical publishing behavior and are unacceptable.
  • Authors must ensure the manuscript submitted is original, has not been published elsewhere, and is not under consideration by another journal.
  • All sources of funding and any conflicts of interest must be disclosed.

Handling of Misconduct

Allegations of research or publication misconduct will be investigated by the editorial team in accordance with COPE guidelines. Actions may include correction, retraction of the published article, and notification to the author's institution, as warranted by the findings.
