VAKSIN MENINGITIS DALAM KAJIAN FIQH
Abstract
Sejalan dengan kemajuan di bidang teknologi, kini masalah kesucian dan kehalalan menjadi problem global. Menurut sebuah penelitian ratusan makanan, minuman, obatobatan dan kosmetika yang beredar di tengah-tengah masyarakat, baik bahan pembantu maupun proses pembuatannya banyak yang bersinggungan dengan najis dan yang haram, sehingga dinding antara najis dan suci, halal dan haram perbedaannya menjadi sangat tipis.
Hal ini dapat dimaklumi, karena kebanyakan produsen produk tersebut adalah negara-negara sekuler yang mengabaikan tentang suci dan najis, halal dan haram. Sementara bagi kaum muslimin hal tersebut jelas menjadi problem yang krusial. Di sinilah arti pentingnya untuk memahami seluk beluk najis dan teknik pencuciannya.
Berbicara tentang problematika najis di abad modern ini tentu kisahnya tidak seperti cerita sewaktu di kampung yang tersenggol babi misalnya, yang cara mencucinya cukup sederhana, yaitu dibasuh dengan air mutlak tujuh kali dan salah satunya dicampur dengan tanah. Di abad modern ini apa lagi di kota-kota besar jelas tidak aka nada cerita seperti itu. Kota cukup bersih dan tertata rapi, orang-orangnya berdandan rapi berdasi, hewan yang biasa membuang najis tidak berkeliaran. Tidak ada babi atau anjing jalan-jalan di jalan raya.
Tetapi najis atau yang haram justru amat dekat dengan keseharian. Sebab setiap saat dapat ditemukan di rumah tangga, kantor, restoran, hotel, super market, dan seterusnya. Bisa lewat busana, makanan, minuman, obat-obatan, kosmetika. Atas dasar itulahartikel ini mengkaji masalah tersebut, terutama dalam kaitannya dengan vaksin meningitis yang tengah diperbincangkan diabad modern ini.
